ItsAGame of LIGHT vs. DARK  theory of answers

 What is this Site?

This site covers a theory on the mysterious ABC hit show LOST and it focus's on the aspect that LOST is a story being played out by a systemized game of LIGHT vs DARK consisting of hidden "clues" that denote puzzle pieces of the game, involving; Mirrored Universes with Multiple Iterations; features of Light n Dark, Sun Sign Astrology, the four classical elements (Fire Air Water Earth), Faith n Science and Fate and Free Will.

Want MORE LOST? Discover the game in the re-watches!

LOST is an awesome character driven serial drama with riveting story telling, themes, back stories, romance, action, mysteries, thrillers, cliffhangers, twists, foreshadowing, symbolism, science, science-fiction and a vast array of  intrigue that brings every one of us diehard fans to the internet to learn and talk about it. Even if we stopped there, LOST would still go down as one of the greatest (if not , the greatest) Sci-fi- Drama Television series of all time.

Just when you thought that was enough, hidden behind all that, LOST is a story being carried out by a systemized game. Constructed around carefully placed "puzzle pieces" serving as "Game Clues" and defining the game pieces throughout each episode.  Just getting this far was not an easy task at all, it took a great deal of re-watching, analyzing, building, and trial & error.

 Two parts of my Theory:

 1. Recognizing the Game Clues and defining the Game pieces

What is so brilliant is the Game Clues and Pieces hidden in LOST are cleverly designed to be recognized by "accumulative understanding and re-watches", that is, every re-watch the knowledge and findings of "game items" builds on previous re-watches and you are then able to recognize symbolism and clues that you haven't been able to notice before. The great Mosaic puzzle can be viewed as "an onion " and layer after layer is peeled off, one by one, by  the re-watches.

the Puzzle game pieces (the characters) are defined by clever symbolism serving as "Clues" that are cleverly spread out throughout the many episodes.  After many hours of viewing many many episodes, I was able to find a lot of "Game Clues,  Finger Clues,  Light and Dark visual clues, Astrology Zodiac Sign Clues, Element Clues, Faith & Free Will Clues, & Science & Faith Clues.  Each Clue gives us certain information about each game piece/character. (I have covered each type of game Clue in detail with its own separate page and link listed to the left).(This is the bread and butter of my theory)

2.  Putting the MOSAIC puzzle together and defining the Game

After collecting all the "Mosaic" of  game item "Puzzle Pieces" ,Clues and Indications, You are then Collecting , building, and noticing patterns, until finally  the "big picture" of the game within the episodes starts taking form.. You can notice the changes in game pieces after interactions and actually start to see the game at play. Game pieces changing from LIGHT to DARK or DARK to LIGHT or Fate to Free Will or Science to Faith etc  Accurately interpreting the MOSAIC of game pieces throughout LOST is the key to the secrets behind LOST.

A great deal of investment and NO obvious reveal?

As LOST was reaching the finale episodes, I wondered if they would slowly give us a big "in your face" reveal to the brilliant game within, but as it indeed approached, It became more clearer, they would not. Incredible, a great deal of writing, time, resources and very very rigid & careful acting was required to construct such a brilliant system. I wondered why they would invest so much in such a system and not reveal it? They just left it out.

Then I realized, they left the game system out there to be unraveled on its own and let the evolution of discovering such a game system to be deciphered by us fans, at its own pace . (Perhaps they will release DVD's that help you unravel everything).

It made more sense to me of not having an obvious reveal as I've learned that it doesn't stop at LOST, many more shows and movies have invested in this very same hidden "game system of clues", and obviously more to come.  All of them, in it together, an array of shows and movies hoping to generate an underground internet raving. A brilliant system of writing, building a synergy and making re-watching more rewarding than ever (especially with serial TV). Call it clever marketing, I call it a gift.

I have seen enough blatant clues that tell me they are indeed ready for it all to be known, but I know they didn't design all this just for a few of us pioneers to unravel. So now my aim is to not just spoil out game detail, but to help everyone else on their LOST game journey of discovery. After all, this is what the writers wanted!

So now, the complete journey of LOST is far from over. the LOST fun is just partially over, much more LOST adventure and brilliance is out there for the taking. Guys, Where are We?  Go get it!

Where to Start?

<------Basically Start from the Top to the Bottoms of each page listed to the left.

My hope is this site serves as a repository for understanding of the "game elements":

---You should have a better understanding to the consistent systemized symbolism and game "building blocks" mechanics that LOST uses.
---  You should be able to go back and re-watch LOST at a whole new Level and understanding almost as if new secrets have been unlocked.
---
You should have a better sense of the game elements and the pieces should start to come together.
--- You should be able to determine which side, LIGHT or DARK that each character is on.
--- You should be able to start recognizing the different Character Alignments.

Where do we go now that LOST is over?

have no fear, the LIGHT vs DARK Saga Continues.....

The Event, Flash Forward , V, Fringe, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Universe, True Blood, Dollhouse.....

.....  all are a part of the LIGHT vs DARK game saga!  and possibly more shows.

This Gaming Clue System doesn't stop at LOST.  I have recently discovered that "The Event:, "Flash Forward", "Fringe" and "Battlestar Galactica" are heavily invested in the same "Gaming Clue System" that LOST has employed.

Terra Nova...... is a Game Too

the next best active show that is a game.....Terra Nova !!!

The EVENT

the show "The Event" is a game too and has followed suit with the gaming Clue system. Next to LOST , "The Event" (and also "Flash Forward") seem to be the next best source of  fun involving the "game clues".  If you enjoy digging into the gaming clues and easter eggs, then definately check them out. Its the most entertaining active show that involves a game within.

Flash Forward

although lasted one season, was a great show to recognize the game system.....
